At 48 years old, Alex’s filmmaking segue is long over due. After a successful career as a Civil Engineering Designer for 20 years, Alex decided to change his career to a more creative and satisfying one— Filmmaking. He entered Ventura College and earned a Certificate of Completion in Multi-Media. In 2002 he enrolled at Brooks Institute of Photography in Ventura, CA where he’s worked in almost every production and post-production capacity. He was one of only seven to receive the “FIRST YEAR OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT-FILM AND VIDEO PRODUCTION AWARD.” While at Brooks he served as producer on several short works, including “Everything Must Go,” "Broken," “Blindness,” and “The Passion of Darryl.” He graduated in April of 2005 and currently works for a civil engineering company during the day and on his own original computer animated short film, “Armando the Architect,” at night. He also runs his own graphics business that provides 2D and 3D artwork and animations where he has created film animatics and pre-visualizations for architectural concepts. He resides in Oxnard (born and raised) with his wife, Roseanne, and his 5 children.
