The Company
Currently, we are completing post-production on our newest short film, Sleeping, which will soon be going out to film festivals worldwide. Our previous short drama Broken has finished making the festival rounds, garnering much attention and praise for its delicate and honest treatment of rape/sexual assault survivors and advocates. This has attracted supporters of Group Six Films' first feature, tentatively titled The Twilight, which draws on the themes of Broken. For this project, Group Six Films is teaming with industry veteran Frank Metayer of Lief Productions. The Twilight is supported by RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network), the largest anti-sexual assault organization in America. In development is the speculative fiction drama Ageless. Taking place in a near future metropolis, the film examines the psychosocial effects of immortality on a young, spoiled mother-to-be. Also on our slate is the speculative fiction action-drama Relativity, which follows a wayward young woman through an intergalactic war, and the personal challenges that face her when she returns. A recent project put into development is an untitled romance/drama concerning two telepaths. Two projects in the very early phase are the adaptations of a popular video game and a Japanese animation series. Exposures, a short film, is a "pet project" to be produced when/if time and resources allow. This is a beautiful, multi‑level story about an astronomer whose images of active galaxy NGC-1097 lead him to some astonishing insights about the universe and himself. Exposures is based on the short story by the multi-award winning author Gregory Benford. |
