SleepingBased on the short story by acclaimed author Katharine Weber, Sleeping is a coming-of-age tale about a young girl named Harriet who lives with her mom during her parents' divorce. Though her mother works tirelessly to maintain the illusion that little has changed, Harriet fails to recognize her struggle, and takes it for granted. She accepts a babysitting job, where the parents instruct her not to check on the baby - telling her in no uncertain terms that the baby is sleeping soundly and should not be disturbed. As the night unfolds, and Harriet fights her growing temptation to look in on the baby, she is brought to a cathartic moment of self-discovery, and finally begins to appreciate her mothers many sacrifices.
